A thirty month long investigation by Animals’ Angels (AA) reveals that dangerous handling andtreatment that is unthinkable for a normal horse is standard practice in the horse slaughter circumstance. Accepted are practices that horse owners, humane officers and veterinarians would normally challenge and condemn. When a “kill horse” is severely injured, thin, or handled dangerously, there is little or no concern for its well-being or protection.
